International Orange Exhibition
In 2012, ArtRise Projects Principal Marnie Burke de Guzman led integrated exhibition planning, interpretive content, and marketing communications for a signature element of the Golden Gate Bridge 75th anniversary celebration: International Orange, an exhibition of 15 contemporary art commissions installed at Fort Point from May 25 – October 28, 2012. As Special Projects Director, Burke de Guzman directed exhibition implementation; all online and on-site elements of the communications and interpretive plan; and partnerships with the National Park Service (NPS) and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy (GGNPC). She hired and supervised the team of editorial, interactive and web production, videography, graphic design, publicity, and visitor services staff that created this landmark exhibition drawing more than 150,000 visitors. Following the close of the exhibition, Burke de Guzman led the redesign and relaunch of the FOR-SITE Foundation website.
International Orange was recognized as one of most exemplary and innovative public art projects in the United States in 2012 by the Americans for the Arts’ Public Art Network Year in Review program.
